Federica Bocedi

Federica specialises in civil procedural law and is involved in IP litigation, with a particular focus on patent protection matters. Federica joined Trevisan & Cuonzo in 2008 and from the very beginning of her career she has been working predominantly on pharma patent matters. She advises on a regular basis on patent/SPC and regulatory protection issues and assists clients in relation to the Italian part of pre-contentious and contentious matters in cross-border and multi-jurisdictional litigation. Federica’s expertise also extends to assisting clients in complex Italian Customs related matters in the framework of the monitoring programs for customs action against goods suspected of infringing IP rights. 

Her professional experience includes:

• Advising some of the most important European and US based pharmaceutical companies in judicial proceedings in Italy relating to patent/SPC validity and infringement in a context of multi-jurisdictional litigation
• Advising high profile pharmaceutical and biotech companies in relation to patent and regulatory matters in contentious and precontentious phases
• Assisting a number of multinational companies operating in different sectors (automotive, consumer products, pharmaceutical, electronics, textile) in enforcing their IP rights through the lodging and management of Customs monitoring programs pursuant to EU Regulation 608/2013
